HKT Architects has been honored by the 2007 DCAM Awards for Excellence Program in Design + Construction for the Storer Engineering Building Renovation and Addition at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Projects were judged in terms of their quality of design and technical excellence, demonstration of quality construction, innovation in devising creative solutions to meet client's specific needs, contribution to the physical, historical and cultural context of the project's location, maximization of re-use of existing facilities to preserve resources and continuity, maximization of the use of renewable energy resources, integration of accessibility issues as a component of the overall design, and the extent to which the project can serve as a model for future projects.
