Construction started on the Ailu Community Center in Shanghai, China. The building, designed by HKT as a green design demonstration project, features bioclimatic facades, light shelf, and wing walls as well as geothermal heat pump, hybrid ventilation, daylighting dimmer, green roof, and composting toilets. The project was developed by AJ Corporation on behalf of the City of Shanghai.
