08.11 SEAS Northwest Annex
The USGBC has awarded the renovation of Harvard University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Northwest Annex LEED-Interior Design and Construction v3.0 Platinum Certification. HKT Architects is pleased to continue to provide sustainable projects for our clients and community.
07.11 The Society of Saint John the Evangelist Addition/ Renovation
Working with Commodore Builders, construction of the major renovation to the historic chapel and monastery originally designed by Ralph Adams Cram is nearly complete. The brothers have begun to hold services in the main chapel and substantial completion of the remainder of the 35,000 s.f. building is expected later in the summer.
06.11 Northampton DPW Facility
In June the City of Northampton approves moving forward with the design of their new DPW facility. HKT Architects, Inc is excited to continue working with the City on this important building project.
05.11 Houghton's Pond Bathhouse and Sitework
Construction has begun for the new bathhouse and interpretative boardwalk in the Blue Hills with Boston Building and Bridge serving as the general contractor for the DCR. In order to allow beach goers and hikers to continue visiting the site, HKT designed the project to be implemented in various phases.
04.11 Holyoke Community College
HKT is currently overseeing the construction for the renovation to administrative offices and classrooms for DCAM at Holyoke Community College. The project includes multiple phases of construction in order to allow the school to continue to use the Frost and Donahue buildings while construction is ongoing.
02.11 Samuel Hadley Public Services Building
The USGBC awarded LEED Silver certification to the new public facility in the town of Lexington. The building received 38 credits under the New Construction Version 2.2 system. The building achieved this status as result of its passive solar design, green roof, and a building integrated rainwater harvesting system that supplies water to the town’s street cleaning machines.
