The College of the Holy Cross, O’Neil Biology Building
Worcester, MA

The need for an intensive gut-rehabilitation of this existing 1950s building provided an opportunity for a dramatic transformation in the entry sequence. The design addressed changes in science education and provided for a more student-friendly environment with gathering spaces, bulletin boards and exhibit areas. This project benefited from extensive pre-design programming and planning, involvement of a construction manager at the beginning of design development, pre-purchase of materials and equipment, and strong team efforts that enabled coordinated, expeditious problem solving.
