This project involved renovating a 56,000 square-foot research and development building on the west end of campus to house MIT's new Information Technology Center. Among other challenges, the scope of work required significant upgrades to the building's electrical, communication, and mechanical systems. The new center now houses a major computer room for the campus network, administrative & technical offices, meeting areas, and smaller computer server rooms. Additionally, the Center accommodates approximately 210 staff members from four major departments now housed together.
