Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Various Projects

Cambridge, MA

+ Overview

HKT has worked on various projects at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) throughout the years. Examples of some of our work at MIT include a new Student Services Center combining the offices of the Bursar, Registrar and Financial Aid in one central location, the Entrepreneurial Center at the Sloan School of Management, office suites for various programs, and a feasibility study for renovations to the fencing facilities.

Some of our representative projects include:

  • Professional Education Programs (PEP): Renovation of 4,250 sf of a former engineering laboratory into office suites for staff and lounge and work areas for visiting fellows.
  • Entrepreneurial Center, Sloan School of Management: A 3,000 sf renovation that created staff offices, teaming rooms, a conference room, library and coffee bar with a central gathering space supporting the E-Center’s mission of providing educational and networking opportunities for leaders of successful high-tech ventures.
  • Student Services Center: The design of Building 11 for a new Student Services Center combined the offices of Bursar, Registrar, and Financial Aid at one central location. This innovative approach supports teamwork among administrative staff, uses technology to its greatest advantage, and enables 24-hour student access to computers.
